Asian Turkey & Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced thin (both ends trimmed off before slicing)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/4 lb ground turkey
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce*
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 3/4 pound fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar
  • Cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add sesame oil, and sauté green onions and garlic for 1 minutes. Stir in ground turkey and cook until meat is no longer pink.
  2. Stir in sweet chili sauce, hoisin sauce, and ginger. Add green beans and continue cooking over medium heat for stirring frequently, until beans are slightly tender, about 7 to 8 minutes. Stir in soy sauce and rice vinegar, cook one minute longer.
  3. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

  • We like to drizzle a little extra hoisin sauce over our individual servings. Also, I like to taste this after I’ve added everything up to the soy sauce and vinegar and will sometimes add a little more of the hoisin and sweet chili sauce. Just adjust it to your liking.
