Biscuits & Gravy just got even better with these Biscuits & Gravy Cheesy Sliders. So simple to make and incredibly delicious! Perfect for breakfast, brunch or even dinner! We love them!
Several years ago my sister introduced my boys to biscuits and gravy. My husband and I were on a trip and she was staying at our house taking care of our boys. When we got home from our trip all I heard about was the yummy biscuits and gravy Aunt Tasha made.
I was feeling like a loser that I’d never made them for my boys, so I called my sister and asked her for the recipe. She just laughed and told me it was just a McCormick mix she bought at the store. All you have to do is add water she told me.
My next trip to the grocery story you’d better believe I bought several of those packets to keep in my cupboard. Now I could be the cool mom and make biscuits and gravy for my boys. (FYI, If you’ve never tried the McCormick mixes, they’re really, really good. Especially considering the fact that all you do is add water. Easy peasy!)
Knowing how in love with biscuits and gravy my boys are, I knew these Biscuits & Gravy Cheesy Sliders were going to win me some brownie points.

You guys, these are sooo good! Talk about comfort food at it’s best! I could make these once a week and never hear a single complaint from anyone. While these are perfect for breakfast or brunch we love them for dinner.
COULD I USE HOMEMADE BISCUITS INSTEAD OF CANNED?
Of course you can, but using canned biscuits is one of the things that makes this recipe such a quick and simple meal. If you’re not in a hurry, and don’t mind taking the time to make homemade biscuits, then go for it.
CAN I USE OTHER KINDS OF CHEESE?

Yes! I love sharp cheddar cheese with these, but you could use regular cheddar, colby jack or even pepper jack if you wanted to give these sliders a bit of a kick.

Description
Biscuits & Gravy just got even better with these Biscuits & Gravy Cheesy Sliders. So simple to make and incredibly delicious! Perfect for breakfast, brunch or even dinner! We love them!
Ingredients
- 1 can (16 oz) Refrigerated biscuits
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1 lb. pork breakfast sausage (ground, not the links)
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 3/4 cups milk
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place biscuits on small baking sheet so they’re touching each other. (I use my 1/4 sheet pan.) Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with freshly ground pepper. Bake until golden brown about 18-20 minutes. (You will have some butter left, save it for after you assemble the sliders.)
- While biscuits are cooking, brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir for 2 minutes.
- Pour the milk over sausage and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened (about 5 to 7 minutes). Remove from heat and whisk in garlic powder, salt and pepper. Taste the gravy and adjust seasonings if necessary.
- Using a serrated knife, cut the biscuits in half. Top the bottom halves with sausage gravy and then a mound of grated cheese. Replace tops and bake until cheese is melted, about 10 minutes. Brush with any remaining melted butter. Enjoy!
