There used to be a bakery here called Hagermann’s Bakery. It was one of my most favorite places ever!
Their sandwiches were amazing (turkey pomodoro, YUM!), as were their breads and treats. My absolute favorite thing there though was their blondies. I’m not even kidding, they were the best things ever! Thick, dense, not too sweet, full of white chocolate chunks and just flippin’ amazing. When Hagermann’s closed, I bet I wasn’t the only one who shed a few tears, that place was packed every time I was there. I still crave their blondies and get a little weepy when I think about them being closed.
While this blondie recipe I’m sharing today is completely different from Hagermann’s blondies, they are crazy good in their own right aaaand are super simple to make. One bowl, no mixer and ready in less than 30 minutes. These blondies are buttery, chewy, rich and pretty dang amazing! Just look at that crackly top, is that not just the most beautiful thing . . . yum!
Enjoy!
