If you love both s’mores and Rice Krispie treats, you’re going to love this Gooey S’mores Mix. Only three ingredients, about 10 minutes of your time and you will end up with the most delicious, addicting treat!
Oh hi there! It’s so nice to be back (maybe some of you didn’t even realize I was gone – lol!). I’m feeling pretty good and ready to start getting back to my normal routine as soon as the get the green light from my doctor. I’m slightly bored and going a little stir crazy, but it’s all good.
I’ve decided that I’m not so sure it’s a good thing to have friends who find and make the yummiest recipes. This Gooey S’mores Mix is a recipe I got from my friend Pat (aka Teacher Pat as most people call her – she’s taught preschool for 40+ years). Pat is a fabulous cook, baker, treat maker, etc., and always has/finds the best recipes. She made this addicting mix and shared it at one of our monthly get-togethers. I ate way too much that night because once you start eating this, it’s hard to stop. Consider yourself warned.
I made and photographed this before my surgery, but never got it posted. So while I’ve been sitting around recovering, I thought I might as well type up the post and share it because it’s too good to keep it from you any longer.
If it’s been as hot where you live as it has been here, then this Gooey S’mores Mix is going to make your heart so happy. Turning our ovens on is the last thing any of us want to do when it’s 95+ degrees outside. I think it’s going to be the summer of no bake treats at our house.
If you love simple, fast and delicious treats, then this mix is for you. Just three simple ingredients. . .
- Butter
- Marshmallows
- S’mores cereal
Which brand of cereal is best?
S’mores cereal comes in a box made by Post or in the bag made by Malt-o-meal. They are so close in taste, but I personally love the Malt-o-meal brand even more, so that is what I always use. Plus, it’s always in my pantry because all of my boys love it! Also, I think you get a little more bang for your buck with the bagged Malt-o-meal. cereal.

How to store this deliciousness. . .
If you’re lucky enough to have any left after you make this, simply put it in a Ziploc bag. I think it’s best if it’s eaten within two days, but I can almost guarantee you won’t have any left after two days.

Looks amazing Jodi. So glad you’re feeling well and on the mend. Making this for July 4th.
Thanks Teresa! I’m glad I’m two weeks out and on the mend! You will love this s’mores mix, it’s so simple to make and absolutely delicious. I hope you’re husband didn’t end up having to have surgery. Hope you’re enjoying your summer. Always good to hear from you.
I CANNOT wait to try this . I am having a family BBQ on July 10 but I’m pretty SURE I should make it one time before my BBQ just to make sure it’s edible
Hi Tammie! I think you most definitely need to make it before the BBQ to make sure it’s edible (). You’re going to love this!
I can’t wait to make this! Also, so jealous you get to hang out with teacher Pat. She is the absolute best!
