Ice Cream Week — Day 3: Peppermint Ice Cream

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cans evaporated milk
  • 1 pint cream
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 pkg ((10 oz) peppermint candies (like the Brach’s))


  1. Place unwrapped peppermint candies and one can of the evaporated milk in blender. Blend until smooth and the candy is crushed.
  2. In large bowl beat eggs until light and fluffy. Mix in sugar, whipping cream, milk and the rest of the evaporated milk . Add peppermint milk mixture. Mix until well blended.
  3. Pour into ice cream canister and freeze according to manufacturers directions.
