Menu Plan Monday is a collection of delicious dinner recipes, side dishes and a few desserts that will hopefully offer a little dinner inspiration and help make your week a little smoother, one recipe at a time.
My baby turned 14 yesterday. I hate that my boys are growing up so dang fast.
You’d think a young kid would be so excited for their birthday, but Parker was not. He keeps telling us he doesn’t want to grow up and that he wants to still be a little kid. I don’t argue with him about it because I whole heartedly agree with him. Sometimes I really miss the days of having toddlers and young kids. Life was actually easier in some ways back then. Now their adults and teenagers and I just worry way too much about them.
Anyway, Parker got through the day and we enjoyed a birthday dinner of his choice. The kid is so funny, he didn’t want a birthday cake. Instead, he wanted scotcheroos and homemade Butterfinger ice cream. No birthday cake?! I had the grandparents for dinner and was feeling a little embarrassed about serving them just scotheroos and ice cream for dessert (I know they wouldn’t have cared, but I did).
We settled on scotcheroos and creme brûlée since he begs me to make it all the time. I felt a little better about serving the grandparents creme brûlée along with their scotcheroos.
I hope you all have a great week!
Skillet Chicken Spaghetti
Smothered Sweet Pork Burritos
7-Can Soup
Truly one of the easiest soups you’ll ever make. My boys absolutely love this soup. My mom likes to make this when we’re all at their cabin because it’s sooo fast and easy to make. It’s absolutely delicious!
Skillet Tamale Pie
Crispy Southwest Chicken Wraps
DATE NIGHT – KITCHEN CLOSED
Chicken in Lemon & Cream & Parmesan Garlic Potatoes
Nutella Peanut Butter Cookies
Cinnamon Roll Pumpkin Sheet Cake
Because I first posted this recipe about 4 years ago (as you can tell from the picture) it’s been buried away in my archives and probably not seen by many of you. If you’ve never made this you absolutely need to. It’s amazing and once you take a bite, you will never want to stop, so consider yourself warned.
