It’s been WAY too long since I’ve shared a Parker Bite with you.
Parker keeps asking me why I haven’t posted one in such a long time and honestly I’m not sure why, so I’m finally sharing one today.
Last night after Parker’s baseball game he was just a wee bit excited because he fouled the ball off a couple times and then had a couple good hits and got on base. After we got home from his game we were standing in the kitchen and he was talking my ear off. I quickly grabbed a paper and pencil and started writing down everything he was saying as fast as I could . . .You gotta be quick because he doesn’t even stop to take a breath, he just talks, talks, talks, talks, etc.
This is what he had to say:
“Hey mom, guess what? A kid came up to me at my game tonight and asked me what my name was. I told him it was Parker, but most kids call me Big Daddy . He asked me if I wanted to be his best friend. I think he was just admiring my awesomeness. I don’t mean to brag or anything. I don’t like being one of those good players that is a punk. I don’t like those kind of guys. Mom, if I’m at baseball practice or a game and I keep hitting the ball, I should say Is it hot out here or am I just on fire?“
The whole “Big Daddy” thing, yeah that’s a nickname he game himself because there are two Parkers on his team this year. His coaches and whole team are now calling him Big Daddy.
Sometimes I wish I had his confidence!
