The other day I needed a treat but it was 104 degrees outside and so the last thing I wanted to do was turn on my oven.
I decided scotcheroos were the perfect thing to make. They have always been one of my favorite treats. I remember the first time I ever had one was in elementary school. My friend Kristie had one in her lunch and she was nice enough to share. Her mom always put a peanut M&M on top and I thought that was the coolest thing ever.
I had a box of Multigrain Peanut Butter Cheerios in my pantry and decided that if I used those instead of Rice Krispies, then maybe I wouldn’t feel as guilty when I ended up eating half the pan. Of course, then I had to go and toss in some Reese’s Peanut Butter cups which probably threw the whole “healthier” idea out the window.
Oh well, I had good intentions!
