A decadent brownie layer swirled together with a delicious peanut butter cream cheese filling! These Peanut Butter Cheesecake Swirled Brownies are ridiculously good and the perfect chocolate and peanut butter treat!
Have I ever mentioned how much I love brownies? In case I haven’t, I love them exponentially. And my love for peanut butter runs as deep as my love for brownies.
And what about cheesecake? Have I ever told you how much I absolutely love it? Well I do, more than you’ll ever know.
With that being said, you can probably figure out that I am head over heels in love with these Peanut Butter Cheesecake Swirled Brownies.
Can we just talk for a second about how well peanut butter, cheesecake and chocolate go together? It’s truly a match made in heaven.
Brownies + peanut butter + cheesecake filling = exceptionally delicious brownies! The wow factor definitely exists here my friends.
These brownies start with a rich, dense brownie layer loaded with chocolate chips. Then they are topped with the most delicious cheesecake layer and swirled together before their baked. The end result is a dense, rich cheesecake brownie treat that you’re absolutely going to love.
Let’s talk chocolate chips . . .
I use milk chocolate chips in the brownie batter when I make these brownies, but feel free to use semisweet or a combination of the two. I think adding some peanut butter chips would also be delicious and add another layer of peanut butter flavor (yes, I love me some peanut butter).

What is the best way to swirl these Peanut Butter Cheesecake Swirled Brownies?
Simply take a knife and use small swirling motions through the batter until you’ve achieved the look (amount of swirl) you want. I suggest not going all the way to the bottom of the pan.

Once these beauties bake up, then the hard part comes. You need to let them cool and then refrigerate them for a bit, but I promise they’re worth the wait.
If you’re feeling a little dare devilish, try putting a scoop of ice cream on top and some chocolate sauce. . . I mean why not? Really wish I would have tried that. Definitely next time.

Peanut Butter Cheesecake Swirled Brownies
- Total Time: 1 hour
- Yield: 16 to 20 brownies 1x
Ingredients
Cream Cheese Layer:
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
Brownie Layer:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, beat 2 cups sugar and 3 eggs together until foamy. Stir in the butter and vanilla.
- Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; stir into the egg mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips. Reserve one cup of the batter, and spread the rest into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Layer:
- In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla and milk until smooth and creamy.
- Carefully spread the peanut butter batter over the layer of chocolate batter. Drop reserved chocolate batter, by tablespoonfuls onto the peanut butter layer. Using a regular butter knife, cut through the batter and swirl.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with just a few moist crumbs. Cool completely before cutting into bars. *Once they’ve cooled, I like to refrigerate them for at least a couple hours before cutting them. Store in refrigerator.
