Thanksgiving Menu Ideas & Favorites to help you get through the day. Some things are made the night before which always makes life a little less crazy that day!
Today’s post is going to look a little different than I had planned on. Yesterday was a rough one for my family. My sister Marni lost her three-week battle with Covid.
Because of her many underlying health issues, she already had so many strikes against her. When she tested positive for Covid, we knew it was going to be an uphill battle for her. She spent three weeks on a ventilator in the ICU. In addition to Covid she was battling pneumonia, staff infection in her blood, other infections in her body, blood clots, dangerously low blood pressure . . . her frail body couldn’t fight back. Her liver and kidneys shut down yesterday and her fight was over.
Our family is heartbroken, but at the same time so grateful that she is free from her very broken, sick body. She’s battled chronic illnesses for about 20 years, but now her body is whole again.
Marni’s birthday is Sunday, she would have turned 45. She was way too young to die. We love her and will miss her so much. This picture is her high school senior picture, isn’t she beautiful? That’s how I want to remember her.❤️
She was the cutest little girl ever. We adopted her from Guatemala when she was 18 months old. We are so happy she is part of our eternal family.
My priorities obviously changed yesterday and I just couldn’t pull it together to create a new Thanksgiving Favorites post. Since my favorites and our traditions are pretty much the same every year, below are the links for my previous Thanksgiving posts.
I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving. I know it’s going to look different for everyone this year, I hope you get to spend time with your family. Love them, hug them and enjoy being with them.❤️
