My weekly menu plans are a collection of delicious dinner recipes, side dishes and a few desserts that will hopefully offer a little dinner inspiration, and help make your week a little smoother one recipe at a time.
You guys I did something completely out of my comfort zone! I was asked a few months ago to do a cooking segment on a local, weekday lifestyle show. My immediate thought was heck no, I could never do that! But with the strong encouragement of my husband and boys, I decided to be brave and do it.
It was filmed on Wednesday and aired yesterday and I still haven’t watched it (lol!). I told only a handful of people about it and those who knew, called and/or text me within minutes of it airing and told me I did great! I’m not sure I believe them. They have to say that because they’re family and friends, right?
It’s funny because in high school I was always jumping in front of the camera whenever my friends were taking pictures. . . I was taking selfies before selfies were even a thing (haha)! Funny how things have changed because now I hate being in front of a camera.
My sister sent me a text yesterday and said it should be a proud moment for me and I should own it. So I guess that’s what I’m doing by telling you guys.
I love food, I love baking, and I love sharing delicious recipes with you, but that’s all done without me being in front of the camera. My brother has told me over and over that I need to put myself out there, that I should make food videos where I’m in front of the camera, not just my hands (lol), etc. I’ll get there one of these days . . . baby steps I guess.
Anyway, lots of good stuff going on with today’s Weekly Menu Plan. I’m so excited for the Lasagna Soup, it’s amazing, and whatever you do, don’t skip the cheese mixture on top. The Outrageous Seven Layer Bars are completely sinful and if you’ve never made them you really need to.
Have a great weekend!
