MY WEEKLY MENU PLANS ARE A COLLECTION OF DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPES, SIDE DISHES AND A FEW DESSERTS THAT WILL HOPEFULLY OFFER A LITTLE DINNER INSPIRATION AND HELP MAKE YOUR WEEK A LITTLE SMOOTHER ONE RECIPE AT A TIME.
Did you all survive Halloween?
Have you rummaged through your kid’s candy yet and snuck a piece or two of your favorites? When we were growing up, my siblings and I would all get in a circle after trick or treating and dump our candy out to see what each other got. Then the candy trading began. I was always so jealous when I saw my older sibling’s piles because they were so much bigger than mine. They would go into other neighborhoods besides ours and come home with a pillowcase FULL of candy.
I have to say that I am actually glad this year my boys are all too old to go trick or treating because it was so cold last night! Of course, my husband is always the one who took them out trick or treating while I stayed home and answered the door, so I’m sure he’s the one who is really glad our boys are too old.
I saw an article online that said on October 30, 2019 at 3:37 am it was 14° in SLC, the coldest temperature recorded in October since 1874! I am so ready to pack up and move to Arizona and live with my Aunt Debbie until April. She wouldn’t mind at all, my boys might, but she wouldn’t.
Thankfully it’s supposed to warm up slightly over the next few days, so until it does, I’ll just keep drinking lots of hot chocolate and eating a lot of hot soup.
Lots of deliciousness this week on the menu plan. Have a great weekend!
