Each Weekly Menu Plan is a collection of delicious dinner recipes, side dishes and a few desserts that will hopefully offer a little dinner inspiration and help make your week a little smoother one recipe at a time.
Wow, what a week it’s been. My heart is heavy and it’s hard to even find the right words to say. I can’t even begin to pretend to know what racism feels like. But what I do know is that everyone deserves to be loved genuinely and wholeheartedly, and to be treated with kindness and respect, no matter what their race is.
I’m thankful to parents who taught me from a very young age to love everyone unconditionally, no matter the color of their skin. I have five biological siblings and three adopted siblings . . . a brother from Korea, a sister from Guatemala and another sister from India. I love them all equally. There should be no place in this world for racism and hate. I will continue to pray that one day we can live in a world where only kindness, love, and goodness exist.
I love the final scene in the movie “Just Mercy” where Bryan (the attorney) is addressing a room full of senators. He says “I believe if each of us can follow his lead, we can begin to change this world for the better. If we can look at ourselves closely, and honestly, I believe we will see that we all need justice, we all need mercy and perhaps, we all need some measure of unmerited grace.”
Thanks for listening and I hope you have a great weekend. Oh and lots of delicious things on this week’s menu.
