Each Weekly Menu Plan is a collection of delicious dinner recipes, side dishes and a few desserts that will hopefully offer a little dinner inspiration and help make your week a little smoother one recipe at a time.
I learned a really important lesson yesterday . . . don’t ever put together a weekly menu plan when you’re on a soft foods and liquid diet for 10 days. I was seriously drooling the whole time and wishing I could eat everything on today’s menu. . . UGH!
I had a second round of gum grating surgery yesterday, which means for the next 10 days I will be eating things like scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt and protein shakes, etc. Doesn’t that sound so exciting? Honestly, the fact that I have to go 10 days without eating chocolate chip cookie dough and cookies is the worst part about this (lol)! Oh, and I get to do this a third time six or so months from now. . . I know, lucky me!
My periodontist told me that I’ve brushed my teeth too well over the years and caused gum recession and actually worn away enamel on some teeth. Who knew that my years of mad teeth brushing skills would end up biting me in the butt.
So while you guys will hopefully be enjoying all/some of the delicious things on this week’s menu, I’ll be eating cottage cheese. . . try not to be jealous.
Have a great weekend!
