Each Weekly Menu Plan is a collection of delicious dinner recipes, side dishes and a few desserts that will hopefully offer a little dinner inspiration and help make your week a little smoother one recipe at a time.
The weeks continue to fly by, but at the same time it feels like 2020 has been the longest year of my life. Today our Governor announced a mask mandate for K-12 for fall semester. My friend teaches Kindergarten and mentioned a few weeks ago how hard it will be to teach her Kindergarteners sounds if masks are required . . .ugh!! I wish her and every Kindergarten teacher out there all the luck in the world.
Is this ever going to end? I never in a million years thought I would live through something like this. Back in March when this all started, I was so hopeful that in a month or two life would be normal again and everything would be ok. . . was I ever wrong!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve had my moments during this whole pandemic. I’ve done pretty good for the most part, but there have been days where I am so discouraged and wonder if life will ever be normal again. I guess we just keep doing our best and try not to let any worries about the future overwhelm us. Just take it a day at a time and hopefully every day gets us a little closer to the world and life we used to know.
So in the meantime, I will just keep baking and cooking away because that is my happy place. This week’s menu is full of a lot of good things. I think I might just have to go and make me some of the Froot Loop Rice Krispie Treats today because they’re calling my name and they are sure to put a smile on any face.
