I have no idea where this week went. My to-do list is only getting longer and my heart is growing a little sadder every day. In the next 2 1/2 weeks I will send off another son on a mission after just getting one home five weeks ago; help move and send that son off to college; watch my baby start his sophomore year; and be down to having only two sons living at home. Yikes, I’m definitely fighting back the tears right now.
The other night, my sister Lori text me this picture . . .
It’s two of my boys with their cousin Riley (on the right). The one in the middle is my son Taylor who just got home from his mission five weeks ago. The one on the left is my son Braydon who leaves on his mission in 18 days. Riley comes home from his mission in two months. Life has flown by at warp speed.
Her text said “where did the years go?” I told her I didn’t know, but wish I did. What I wouldn’t give to go back to those days. I feel like I blinked and my boys went from being the little boys in this picture to teenagers and adults. . . . I hate it!
If you have little ones at home, cherish every single second with them because you’ll blink and they’ll be all grown up.♡
