Lightly buttered popcorn covered in melted white chocolate with mini peanut butter cups and M&M’s. . . this White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn is highly addictive. A perfect Valentine’s treat for anyone!
I have such a love/hate relationship with this White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn. I shouldn’t make this stuff because I can’t stop eating it. It’s a huge problem. I feel like I need to warn you that it’s highly addictive. Thankfully I packaged most of this up for my husband to take to the families he home teaches.
I made a batch of just plain white chocolate popcorn last week for a baby shower. I hadn’t made it in such a long time that I had forgotten how crazy good it is. Everyone at the shower raved and raved about it. I’d colored it pink for the baby shower and got thinking how fun it would be to make some for Valentine’s treats. Then I decided to take it up a notch and added mini white chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and some Valentine’s M&M’s. Aren’t those mini peanut butter cups so cute?!
This is such a simple, fast and yummy reat for Valentine’s Day or any holiday/occasion. The great thing about this popcorn is when you need something in a pinch, you can throw this together in a matter of minutes. Just pop the popcorn, melt the white chocolate and then pour it over the popcorn, then throw in whatever candy you’d like or or leave it plain.
The little bit of saltiness from the popcorn with the sweetness of the white chocolate is absolute popcorn perfection.
P.S. This White Chocolate Peppermint Popcorn is so good too. I love to make it for Christmas gifts, but you it would be perfect for Valentines too!

White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn
- Total Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 20 ounces vanilla almond bark or white candy, melted
- 2 bags microwave popcorn, popped (I use the light buttered)
- Pink or red food coloring (optional)
- 1 1/4 cups Mini White Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- 1 cup Valentine M&M’s ((of any color/holiday M$M’s))
Instructions
- Place popped popcorn in a large bowl. (Make sure you’ve gotten any unpopped kernals out.)
- Melt almond bark according to package directions. If you want it pink for Valentine’s add a couple drops of food coloring and stir until mixed in.
- Pour melted white chocolate over popcorn and carefully until popcorn is evenly coated. Pour in M&M’s and mini peanut butter cups and gently toss a few more times.
- Lay popcorn on a parchment or wax paper-lined cookie sheet to cool.
- Break into pieces and package in cellophane bags with a ribbon tied around it for gifts or enjoy it all to yourself.
Notes
- If you are making this for a holiday and want to color the white chocolate, just use whatever color works for you. Also, I threw in some Valentine M&M’s so my husband could give this as a Valentine treat to the families he home teaches. You can leave the M&M’s out or use any color/holiday ones you like.
- You can use white chocolate chips if you’d like, I just prefer using almond bark or candy melts because they melt so much easier. White chocolate chips don’t always melt very well. They can easily seize up and become gritty and/or clumpy.
