♡ 12 DAYS OF SUGAR. . .DAY 11 ♡
I am in love with today’s 12 Days of Sugar. These White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzels Bites are pretzel & peppermint perfection! Sweet & salty meet white chocolate and peppermint. . . it might just be a match made in heaven. If you’ve tasted the Snack Factory White Chocolate & Peppermint Pretzel Crisps at Costco, then you are going to love these little bite size bits of goodness.
These white chocolate peppermint pretzel bites are simple to make with just three ingredients (well, technically four if you decide to drizzle them with melted chocolate). Even if you think you’re the world’s worst baker, you can’t mess these up, I promise!
I feel like I should warn you though that these are slightly addictive. I love the sweet and salty combination together and then adding the crushed peppermint candy canes makes these unbelievable! I also love things like these that are quick and easy to throw together. That is my kind of idea for neighbor gift giving.
To get started, you will need:
- Pretzels
- Crushed candy cane
- White Chocolate melting wafers
For the pretzels, I like to use pretzel twists and just use my hands to break them into small pieces. You could certainly put them in a Ziploc bag and use a rolling pin or something heavy to coarsely crush them.
For the white chocolate, I like to use Ghiradelli white chocolate melting wafers. I guy a big bag of them at Sam’s Club every year. You can also find smaller bags of them at some grocery stores (I know Walmart for sure carries them). You can also use white almond bark. If you want to use white chocolate chips, make sure you use white chocolate chips that have cocoa butter and not vegetable oil in them. White chocolate chips that contain vegetable oil don’t melt very easily and don’t work great for coating/dipping things.
For the peppermint, I like to use candy canes or peppermint candies (Brach’s brand). You can place them in a Ziploc bag and use a rolling pin to crush them or put them in your food processor and give them a few pulses. You don’t want to pulse them to a powder, you want to leave some small pieces. .
What to do if these set up too much before you’ve scooped them all? Don’t panic, if the mixture starts to firm up before you’re finished scooping, put the mixture back in the microwave for about 15 seconds at 50% power, remove from microwave and stir, then continue to scoop.
You guys are going to love these!

White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzel Bites
Description
White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzel Bites are made with 3 simple ingredients. . . white chocolate, crushed candy cane and chopped pretzels. So simple to make, insanely good, and perfect for gift giving.
Ingredients
- 24 oz white chocolate melting wafers (I use Ghiradelli. You can also use white almond bark/candy coating)
- 8 cups pretzels, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup peppermint candy or candy canes crushed
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk), melted
- Extra crushed candy cane
Instructions
- Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Melt white chocolate wafers in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes at 50% power, stir and continue cooking in 30 second increments, 50% power until melted and smooth.
- Place crushed pretzels and crushed peppermint candy in a large bowl. Pour melted white chocolate over and stir until evenly coated.
- Using a big spoon or a cookie scoop, spoon candy by large spoonfuls onto prepared pan. Use a plastic knife or spoon to shape into mounds if needed. (*You can make these any size you want. I make mine about the size of a golf ball, slightly flattened.) Drizzle melted chocolate over the top of candy. Sprinkle with extra crushed peppermint.
- Allow to set up and then serve.
