Place apples in a medium bowl and gently toss with cinnamo and sugar. Arrange in an 8x8 pan.
Combine brown sugar, flour, oatmeal, cinnamon, nutmeg and stir until combine. Add butter and stir until combined and mixture is "clumpy." (You can also do this in an electric mixer, just combine ingredients on low speed).
Evenly spread oatmeal mixture over apples and bake 30-40 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
I double the topping recipe because that is my favorite part of fruit crisps. If you prefer less topping then just follow the recipe as I have written it. But I highly recomment doubling the topping.
